Amuneke Appointed Tanzania National Team Coach

Imo State born ex Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Amuneke has been appointed Head Coach of the Tanzania National Team.

Amuneke who won the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations with the Super Eagles would held the Taifa Stars to qualify for the Nations Cup next year in Camerron.

The 49 year old signed the two year deal. He will take over from Salum Mayanga who was recently sacked by the FA for poor run of results.

Amuneke, until his appointment was an assistant coach to Saudi premier league, Al Hazm and later a scout for English premier league giants, Manchester United. He had also handled Nigeria’s U-17 World Cup winning team and later managed Al Khartoum FC of Sudan.
