Comrade Nwadike was reportedly arrested on Wednesday and detained for hours by men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad while addressing a gathering at the Orlu Timber Market on allegation of organizing an unlawful assembly.

Ezeh decried Okorocha’s desperation to perpetuate himself in power through a proxy. He insisted that the third-term plot of Okorocha is a masturbatory and A doomed agenda which in the warped imagination of the governor can be achieved by conscripting the political space and deploying all instruments of state power to suppress every political dissent and harass, molest and intimidate perceived foes.

The  technocrat wondered why the governor has grown jittery over peaceful assemblies that he now wishes to proscribe them. He described as unfortunate the show of shame by the governor at the Orlu Timber Market, and further revealed that Okorocha is already haunted by the spirit of his own iniquities.

Ezeh enlightened the governor that peaceful assembly is a fundamental right which is provided for in the Constitution.

He added that it is inalienable for the people to assemble and chart a course of action for the progress of the state provided it is done within the ambit of the law, and stressed that the action of the governor – to the extent that it has violated fundamental human rights – constitutes an abuse of public trust and remains an impeachable offence.

He reminded Okorocha that his days in Douglas House are already numbered, and advised him to busy himself with getting his handover notes ready instead of wasting state resources on a failed third-term agenda.
