The Imo chapter of Igbo Youth Assembly leadership have affirmed that the election and adoption of Air Commodore Peter Gbujie (rtd) as their Grand Patron is a well deserved honour and promotion of a perfect gentle man with great discipline and integrity, who is a complete and perfect role model and mentor to up coming career youths.
Gbujie is a governorship aspirant in Imo State on the platform of the All Progressive Congress, APC.
The youths vowed to use every means within the ambit of the law to ensure that their mentor (Gbujie) occupy the exalted seat and office to enable him continue in serving and empowering the youths the more.
The Youths also honoured Chief Barr Friday Nwosu.
In his remarks, the Chairman and Cordinator of Igbo Youth Assembly Abia State Chapter, Hon Thomas Uchenna Nwobia of Ukwa West LGA stated that the election and adoption of Chief Barr. Friday N. Nwosu as the Grand patron of Abia State chapter of Igbo Youth Assembly is the best option for the group, stating that all through his life career as a security agent, legal luminary, politician and community man, he has promoted the peace, unity, progress and development of Nigeria.
The youths leadership affirmed that chief Barr Friday Nwosu is a true democrat who believes in justice,equity and rule of law and is also humility personified.
They described Chief (Barr) Nwosu as a man whose major focus and ambition is on how to better and empower the youths.
The leadership of the youths revealed Nwosu’s numerous youths empowerment programs which range from scholarship, grants, business sponsorship and technology related programmes.
The President General of Igbo Youth Assembly, Mazi Bernard Ifeanyi Egwim Nwadunna JP thanked and commended the youths and their leadership for endorsing Chief Nwosu.
He encouraged the youths to be law abiding and pursue careers like the two elected Grand patrons of Igbo youth Assembly in Imo and Abia States chapter.
The Secretary General of Igbo youth Assembly, Comrade. Casmir Nnadozie Irekamba in his vote of thanks thanked the youths and their leaders for standing for national peace and unity.
He affirmed that the posterity will forever remain greatful for this generation of youths who have sacrificed a lot to promote the peace and unity of Nigeria.
He concluded that the letter and certificate for the newly elected Grand patron of Imo and Abia States chapter of Igbo Youth Assembly Air Commodore Peter Gbujie (rtd) and Chief Barr Friday N. Nwosu respectively will be made available to the Grand patrons soon.
