Igbo Youth Assembly, IYA, has adopted Air Commodore Peter Gbujie, rtd, an APC guber contestant for 2019 as its Grand Patron.
The adoption of Air Commodore Peter Gbujie as Grand Patron of Igbo Youth Assembly, during general exco meeting held recently at Downgress Hotel, Umuahia, Abia state.
Speaking at the event shortly after the adoption, Imo state chairman of IYA, Hon Emmanuel Kelechi Okere, stated that the election of Gbujie as Grand Patron of Igbo Youth Assembly was an accolade well deserved, considering his “track record as a true democrat who devoted his time, energy, resources to promote peace and development, having also empowered many youths via agriculture, education, grants, skills acquisition, a lover of youths, very accessible and humane”.
Describing Air Commodore Peter Gbujie, an indigene of Ahiazu Mbaise, Imo state as ” a perfect gentle man with great discipline, integrity, a role model to coming career youths”, the President General and Secretary General of IYA, Mazi Bernard Ifeanyi Egwim Nwadunna and Comr Casmir Nnadozie Irekamba, appreciated him for honoring their request and prayed that God grants him his political desire.
They thanked Igbo youths for coming out en masse to accord due honour to Air Commodore Peter Gbujie.
