The Owerri zone Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sir Bon. Unachukwu has explained that the recent defection of All Progressive Congress (APC) stalwarts to the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) is a blessing in disguise for the party.

Speaking to Journalists recently while evaluating Rt. Hon Emeka Ihedioha’s visit to Ikeduru L.G.A of Imo State during a sensitization tour, Sir Unachukwu maintained that come 2019, the People’s Democratic Party will win the presidential election.

Sir Unachukwu explained since some PDP bigwigs left the party to join APC in 2015 and are now coming back to PDP, one should expect great things to happen in the party.

He said primaries in the party will be conducted in a free and fair manner and devoid of rigging.
According to him, Owerri zone is going to ensure that no “foreign body” make the delegate list assuring that the PDP will ride to victory.
