A governorship aspirant of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA in Imo State, Hon.Uche Onyeagocha has distanced himself from media allegations that he is among some aspirants sponsored by Governor Rochas Okorocha in other political parties.
According to a statement by Mac Enwerem, his media aide, Onyeagocha, a former member of the House of Representatives, said the rumour is a grand design by disgruntled and mischievous politicians who are on a mission to blackmail him.
He wondered how the Governor who could not buy motorcycles for APGA ward chairmen since the past seven years he has spent in office will be the one to sponsor his ambition.
Onyeagocha who has been a consistent critic of the Okorocha administration called on ward chairmen in APGA to make good use of the motorcycles he bought for them.
The Ex Reps member had donated 306 motorcycles to APGA ward chairmen in the State to enable them in carry out their duties and functions.
Onyeagocha is up against more than 25 governorship aspirants on the platform of APGA in the scramble for the governorship ticket of APGA in Imo State.
