The National Assembly was under siege this morning as masked security men cordoned off the Assembly complex.
The move is said to be aimed at removing the senate President, Bukola Saraki.
Online reports said some lawmakers were later allowed into the complex.
The officers were quoted to have said that their actions are “order from above” . They had initially denied the lawmakers entry into the National Assembly.
Since the Senate President, Bukola Saraki defected from the ruling APC to the PDP, their have been debate on his appropriateness as President of the Senate.
