Late Lolo Ezinne Mabel Anyanta Ifeobu, nee Ugbede, has been buried. The Matriarch of Ifeobu Family was committed to mother earth on Saturday, the 25th day of August, 2018 at her husband’s home, Eziama, Izombe, Oguta, Imo state.
Performing the funeral Mass at the Holy Family Catholic Parish, Izombe, Oguta, the Arch Bishop of Owerri Ecclesiastical Province, Anthony Obinna who officiated the Eucharistic celebration alongside other Priests, prayed that God accepts the gentle soul of Ezinne Mabel Anyanta Ifeobu to His Kingdom and advised his children to emulate her.
He urged followers of Christ to often replicate Christ in order to have a fulfilled life as well as merit Heaven.
Describing their mother as a kind, generous and elegant woman of style who lived her life to full, Chief Obioma Laz Ifeobu, Dr Remigus Chukwudi Ifeobu and BOC Ifeobu Group Captain, Nigeria Air Force, expressed gladness that their mother lived an excellent life worthy of emulation.
“She was a beacon of hope to many persons who sought her advise, an exceptional giver who was socially active, possessed adorable character” he said
Speaking to journalists shortly after the funeral, Emma Okoroama, the deceased grand son in-law, who hails from Umuawo, Ejemekuru in Oguta Local Government Area noted that her grand son in-laws, grand children, great grand children are supporting to raise a befitting foundation in her honour.
Okoroama said the foundation will be known as Mabel Anyanta Ifeobu Foundation. He praised the late Matriarch for being good to all persons, saying her good deeds would be consolidated.
Okoroma said “She would have raised a consolidated fund to help cure my broken leg sustained through an accident, but death came and took her away. She was very nice to me,
“She had a bitter side of life after her husband’s death before she attained stardom. She was able to sustain her family because she stood for equity, justice, fairness and loved people irrespective of tribe, status, religion or color, a kind mother who believed in hard work and merit” he maintained.
Late lolo Ezinne Mabel Anyanta Ifeobu died at 90.
