Former Deputy Speaker House of Representatives and leading Imo PDP Governorship Hopeful, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha has assured that he will work with his fellow governorship aspirants and run inclusive government.
The former Deputy Speaker, disclosed this while addressing party members at the Imo PDP Sensitization rally held on Weekend, at Nkwo Ogwu Sports Center Nguru in Aboh Mbaise LGA.
“There will be no loser after our primaries as every contestant that participated in the race will adequately be carried along after the victory of the party at the polls. We will work as a team to lead the party to victory at all levels.
“I am very optimistic that PDP will form the next government at the federal level. We shall recommend governorship aspirants for federal appointments while other aspirants will be accommodated at various levels. I want to urge us, not to see our primaries as a do or die affair. Not one person will be left behind.”
While commending the PDP State Chairman, Barr. Charles Ezekwem, and members of his executives for the good job they have been doing for the party, he urged them to remain focused and committed to returning power back to the people in 2019.
Rt Hon. Ihedioha who insisted that he is most prepared to lead Imo State, reiterated his commitment and loyalty to always support the party, especially in their resolve to conduct free, fair and credible primaries, adding that Aboh Mbaise has never been associated with any case of electoral fraud or malpractice, stressing that Aboh Mbaise will do it’s best to support and deliver PDP in 2019 like it has always done in the past years.
Barr. Charles Ezekwem, the State Chairman of Imo PDP applauded Hon Emeka Ihedioha and other Leaders of the Party in Aboh Mbaise for their contributions and support towards the growth, sustenance and development of the party in the area.
He described Ihedioha as reliable, patriotic and selfless leader who made huge sacrifices towards the rebirth of the PDP at the state and national level. “Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha is someone you cannot doubt his loyalty and commitment to the party. He is working very hard in his bid to fly our party’s flag for the governorship election. I am seeing his movement and I receive reports too. I will do my best to remain neutral and guided by the provisions of our constitution.”
He urged party faithfuls to shun hate speech and jettison personal interest for the overall interest of the party in 2019.
