There are strong indications that top chieftains of the Imo APC Coalition may be contemplating plans to defect to other political parties in bid to further their political ambitions.

The All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA and the Social Democratic Party, SDP may be their next political destination.

Authoritative sources revealed to this newspaper that with uncertainty in Imo APC over recent court judgements that is favouring the Rochas Okorocha camp at the moment and Primaries very near, there are doubts if they will find political accommodation in the party in the State.

Also, the disposition of the Adams Oshiomole led National Working Committee, NWC on the crisis in the APC in Imo has become worrisome to some Coalition members.

Oshiomole recently inaugurated Daniel Nwafor as the State Chairman of Imo APC in Abuja- a move which tend to send signals that the National Working Committee of the APC may beĀ  positively disposed to the Okorocha camp.

Before the inauguration of the State Party Executives, Governor Okorocha had conducted fresh congresses in Imo APC after the Federal High Court quashed an earlier congress swept by the Coalition.

With Party Primaries drawing close, uncertainty is said to have gripped some aspirants in the Coalition who feel there would be no much time for them to continue the battle against the Okorocha camp in the scramble for the soul of Imo APC.

This newspaper gathered that some of the Coalition members have opened talks with the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA and the Social Democratic Party, SDP, though a reliable source said if Coalition members will have any reason to leave APC, they may do so enmasse.

Senator Hope Uzodinma had last week said there will be harmonization between the two factions in Imo APC. He also said there may be fresh congresses in the party.

But with Primaries fast approaching, the possibility of such harmonization may just be a mirage.
