There are indications that a faction of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Imo State is set to hold fresh primaries for Councillor and Chairmanship aspirants in the party on Friday, August 3.
The Daniel Nwafor led State Chapter of the APC had cancelled primaries for the aspirants conducted by the out-gone Chris Oguoma led factional State Exco.
Nwafor had on assumption of office cancelled the exercise which sent panic down the spines on candidates who had emerged victorious during the last congress.
The last exercise was however trailed by several complaints from those who had lost out in the primaries.
Reports said modalities for conducting the new primaries has been adjusted as “qualified delegates” were invited to be part of the exercise scheduled to take place at the State Secretariat of the party in Owerri
