The All Progressives Congress National Zonal Women Leader, South East, Barr (Mrs) Blessing I N Onugha, says with the achievements recorded by the President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government, as well as the giant strides of Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha, in the state, APC is the party to beat in the 2019 general election.
Barr Onugha, who stated this in an interview with a section of the press during an APC rally for Saturday local government election, at St Mary’s primary school play -ground, Iho Demeze, Ikeduru local government area, on Tuesday, was emphatic that the number of APC governors in the South East will increase with the election, as most of the states that are being controlled by the Peoples Democratic Party, will join her party.
According to her, :”obviously APC will win the election. APC will win Imo state and most other states that do not have APC governors. I will tell you without mincing words that the number of APC governors from South East will increase
“Being the party’s leader in the South East Owelle Rochas Okorocha is working so hard and we want to let the people know that they have no other option than to join the winning party “.
She further disclosed that women of South East are fully mobilized, adding :”we are fully aware of what the APC has done so far, especially in Imo state. What Owelle has done so far, APC has an advantage over the others. Besides, these visible and verifiable projects speak for him and are enough to campaign for the party.
On the reasons for the rally, she said :”we are here to tell tell the visiting executives that we are happy with what the governor is doing in Imo, and to equally showcase the love we have for him. If you check the number of appointees from Ikeduru local government area, you will realize that he has our interest at heart. So, we are here to show our support and solidarity with him.
BarrOnugha called on all those who have not registered nor collected their PVC to avail themselves of the opportunity offered by the extension to do so.
