The delegates Congress of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP may have thrown up different claims from the two major camps in the party just as reports have filtered in that the exercise was marred with chaos in some areas.
This is coming on the heels of indications that Rt Hon.Emeka Ihedioha’s loyalists emerged winners in the delegates congress in most local governments in the State. Field reports showed the Former Deputy Speaker is in a comfortable and if it remains so, he looks good to clinch the governorship ticket of the party.
But the camp of Senator Samuel Anyanwu has fired back saying the claims are fallacy.
This newspaper observed that there was reported cases of result sheet snatching and acts of brigindage..
Reports say a member of the House of Representatives, Hon Henry Nwawuba who represents Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency escaped attack by the whiskers for insisting that the Congress must be held in a free and fair manner rather than writing names.
Reacting to claims in the media that Ihedioha’s loyalists swept the Congress, a source in Senator Anyanwu’s camp who spoke on condition of anonymity disproved the claims.
He enjoined Imo people and party members to disregard the rumour.
