Okorocha Sacks Appointees, Eche, Nwosu, Others Affected

Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha has relieved some appointees in his government who are seeking election into public office.

According to a statement by Sam Onwuemedo, the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, those affected include  Secretary to Government of Imo State, Sir George Eche, his Chief of Staff, Uche Nwosu, Principal Secretary, Dr. Paschal Chigozie Obi, Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations), Hon. Kingsley Uju.

Five Commissioners were also affected.They are Nnamdi Obiareri (Information), Barr (Mrs) Ngozi Njoku (Gender/Social Development), Lady Joy Mbawuike (Market Development), Hon. Obinna Mbata (Finance), Dr.Dan Nworie (Tertiary Education).

The rest are Hon Simeon Iwunze Special Adviser on Urban Renewal, Barr. Obinna Amagwula (Special Assistant General Duties) and Pst (Mrs) Betty Uzoma (Special Assistant Finance).

The appointees are seeking various elective offices. The Governor wished them well.
