The founder and President Power House Assembly Abakakili, Evangelist Ephraim Ononye has offered free medical services to over 2000 widows and physically challenged persons in Abakaliki.
The clergy who also gave food items to the beneficiaries said the free medical services was introduced to fulfill the teachings of Christ to care for the needy and sick ones
“It is our responsibility to care for the needy instead of collecting money in order to pray for them”
“We collect tithes, offerings from our congregations, we get richer by the day, get mansions, what about the less privileged among us whom God expected us to take of as churches and Pastors”.
Ononye who regretted how well to do individuals in the society have neglected the less privileged called on them to use their resources to better the loss of the down trodden in our society instead of wasting them on earthly things.
“Let those people that call themselves rich men also think of how to assist the down trodden in the society not just building mansions, ridding expensive cars and spending money extravagantly.
He told the beneficiaries to utilize the services being offered to them as Doctors were there to attend to them while drugs were given free of charge.
The medical outreach which was part of the activities to commomorate one year of restoration of the Ministry after its challenges last year featured road walk.
Two of the benefeciares Mrs Anthonia Igboke and Ezeoma Theresa prayed God to bless Evangelist Ononye and called on other wealthy Men of God to emulate the gesture.
“We are happy over the series of drugs and food we received from the Church”. “We pray God to bless Evangelist Ononye abundantly”.he said
