The President of the supreme body that unites all students from Imo State both those schooling within the country and abroad, which is called National Association of Imo State Students (NAISS), Comr. Anyaoha Tochi C. has gone for thanksgiving to God.
The thanksgivings was held on Sunday 30th September at Jehovah Jireh Anglican Church located at Egbu in Owerri North LGA of Imo State and it was attended by top politicians, present and past leaders of NAISS, student leaders from various campuses, clergies, lecturers from Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri and host of others from different sectors.
The event elicited drums of joy and celebration considering the right decision of the President in thanking God for his successful graduation from the Department of Public Administration in Federal Poly Nekede, Owerri, his victory as the National President of NAISS despite the challenges.
The H.O.D of Public Administration Department Mrs. Ijeoma Ezeibe described Comr. Tochi as a role model, a child with amiable character that every mother will pray to have and prophesized that the NAISS President will definitely progress beyond human expectations.
“The celebrant is a model student, he has been doing well in both students issues and management duties, he has done well by coming to thank God today, I know that the sky cannot be his limit” Mrs.Ezeibe prayed.
The H.O.D commended the Federal Poly Nekede and her management under the leadership of the immediate past Rector,Dr. (Mrs) Celestina Ugochi Njoku for producing an outstanding student like Comr. Tochi and also for the transformation of the Polytechnic campus to standard as she prayed for good leadership for the new Rector.
Speaking on behalf of the students leaders in attendance, the Senate President of NAISS Rt.Comr. Dominion from Imo State Polytechnic Umuagwo described Tochi as a man with reputable character that shall remain as a role model to Imo State Students, applauded his legacy in the Unionism and Federal Poly Nekede community as he assured the celebrant of much rewards.
The former S.A to Governor Rochas Okorocha on Youths Matters Hon. Emma Duru who was the UNN NAISS chapter Public Relations officer (PRO), in his own means of expression, took the lead in praises and worship to God and promised to remain supportive to Comr. Tochi led NAISS administration.
Expressing his feelings over the blessings of God in his life, Comr. Anyaoha Tochi C. with his friends, well wishers and family members with prayers.
Speaking about the political situation of Imo State and Nigeria at large, the President charged Imolites to enhance their activeness in politics and remain vigilant in the forthcoming 2019 general election.
“Getting your P.V.C is the first step and coming out to vote on the day of election is the second step, all Imolites should choose wisely, the decision we make today will determine the future” NAISS President advised.
