The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Imo State may not be free from turbulence after its governorship primary.
The party had been commended the party for holding a rancour free primaries but that narration has changed with the resolve of Senator Samuel Anyanwu to challenge the results of the governorship primary which he lost to a former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha.
Senator Anyanwu placed second in the governorship primary and had announced his rejection of the results.
He had complained that the number of accredited voters for the governorship primary of the partry exceeded the number of votes all the contestants polled.
He said there were cases of over voting thus rendering the governorship primary a nullity.
In a suit no FHC/Ow/CS/121/2018, Anyanwu sought and was granted an Order “granting leave to serve writ of summons, the statement on oath of of the plaintiff and other accompanying processes filed at the registry of this Honourable court,on the 2nd Defendant by substituted means to wit”
