Imo APC Guber Ticket:Confusion As Uche Nwosu, Hope Uzodinma Display INEC Forms

There is more confusion in the All Progressive Congress, APC in Imo State. Who is the party’s governorship candidate has continued to be a subject of controversy though indications emerged that Uche Nwosu has been nominated as the governorship candidate of the party.

Nwosu was declared winner of a repeat guber primary of the APC in Imo State held last weekend while an Abuja Federal High Court presided by Justice O.A Musa ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to recognize Senator Uzodinma as the party’s governorship candidate in Imo State APC.

The two contenders in a show of supremacy engaged in fresh political stunts to lend credence to their positions.

On Friday, photos of the duo displaying INEC forms as candidates of the party surfaced online confusing most party chieftains and members in the State.

Nwous’s INEC forms were presented to him by the Imo State APC Chairman, Daniel Madueke.

According to a statement by FCC Onwusoanya Jones, State Publicity Secretary of the party, he explained that “NEC Cf001 forms are only issued to political Parties who would in turn issue the forms to their candidates. The Parties may issue these forms to its candidates through its officials, especially, the Organizing Secretary of the Party who is specifically charged with affairs of elections. It is only political Party officials who are authorized to issue these forms to their candidates”
