*As Okorocha Opens Legal Onslaught against Senator Uzodinma*
The battle for Orlu Senatorial ticket in the All Progressive Congress, APC in Imo State has shifted to the law courts.
Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha was declared winner of Orlu APC Senate ticket during a repeat primary.
However, the inability of the APC to officially announce the party candidates in Imo APC is feuling tension and anxiety in the party.
Indications that the matter was taken to court became clear when some documents surfaced online showing Governor Rochas Okorocha seeking for an order of an Abuja Federal High Court to compel the national leadership of the party not to remove or alter his name as candidate for Orlu Senatorial zone.
The APC in Imo State has been in turbulence as two factions fight for supremacy. Okorocha is up against Senator Hope Uzodinma who currently represents the zone at the Senate.
Uzodinma is in the race for the governorship ticket of the APC Imo State having been declared winner of the primary by the Ahmed Gulak Primary Election Governorship commitee
The primary was cancelled by the National Working Commitee of the APC and a repeat primary held which produced Uche Nwosu as the governorship candidate.
Final prouncement on who the candidates are for APC in Imo State is expected to be announced lastest on Thursday which is the deadline for political parties to submit names of candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC
