Owerri Federal Constituency Set For Football Tournament, Carnival

As part of measures to bond together the good of Owerri Federal Constituency, a group, Owerri Federal Constituency President Generals and Constituents, is organizing a football tournament in the Constituency.

Owerri Federal Constituency is made up of three local governments namely Owerri West, Owerri North and Owerri municipal.

The football tournament will kick off on 15th of December and  end on January 3rd, 2019. The tournament is expected to expose fresh talents among the youths in over 40 autonomous communities that make up Owerri Federal Constituency.

Also, as part of measures to ensure unity and oneness among the people and showcase its rich cultural heritage, an OduEzi, will be held after the football tournament. Eminent sons and daughters of the Constituency including those in Diaspora are expected to attend the event.

According to leader of the group, Chief (Barr) Canice Madukaji, details and modalities of the two major events will be announced later as plans are in top gear to ensure the success of the two events.
