AIPA Set To Parley INEC On 2019 Elections In Imo

The Amalgamation of Imo Professional Bodies and Associations is scheduled to meet with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) and his management team tomorrow, Thursday 1st November, 2018 at the Commission’s Headquarters in Owerri at 9:o’clock in the morning.

Led by the President of Association of Imo Indigenous Town Unions, Chief Emeka Diwe who doubles as President General of Orlu-Zurumee Cultural Union, the Amalgamation which has other notable professional, sociocultural and Civil Society Organizations such as Olu Owerri, Olu Okigwe, Imo Town Unions, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Independent Newspaper Publishers Association(INPA), National Youth Council of Nigeria Imo chapter, NANS, NAIS, Amalgamated Traders Union and members of the Imo NUJ is expected to kick start the much anticipated collaboration of INEC and the masses for a credible 2019 election in Imo.

Recall that the amalgamation had, months ago, released a template for the emergence of the would-be Imo Governor, to usher in good governance in the State and since then, embarked on vigorous mobilization of various credible organizations for a common front.
