The remains of the first female High Court Judge of old Imo State comprising Imo,Abia and Ebonyi States, Late Justice (Mrs) C.I Uche (retd) will be buried on November 17, 2018 at Igbere in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.
The late jurist was also a retired High Court Judge in the old Imo State and a foundation Judge of the Abia State Judiciary.
According to a statement by the family signed by Chris Uche (SAN), activities lined up for her funeral include a night of tributes at the International Conference Centre, Abuja to be held on Sunday, 11th November, 2018.
Other programmes include a Special (Joint Abia, Imo, Ebonyi Judiciaries) valedictory High Court session at the High Court premises, Umuahia, Abia State and a night of tributes at the Pavilion ground, Igbere, Bende LGA of Abia State on Friday, 16th November, 2018.
The funeral service will take place on 17th November, 2018 at the convention centre, Igbere, Bende LGA, Abia State to be followed by a grand reception at the Justice Uche Hall at the Convention Centre, Igbere.
According to the statement “Hon. Justice C. I. Uche (Rtd.) is survived by her children, Chief Chris Uche (SAN), Dr. Rosemond Favour Uche, Gordy Uche (SAN), and Mr. John Uche and a host of other relations.
“She was married to Sir Amadi O. Uche, Administrator and Lawyer, of blessed memory, and she was renowned for her humility, integrity, devotion and dedication to duty”
