The Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA in Imo State, Senator Ifeanyi Araraume has initiated moves aimed at  getting back the bits and pieces of the party together.

Araraume who made a “triumphant return” to Owerri on Friday and received by a mammoth crowd of supporters after winning the party’s governorship primaries is spinning his political web aimed at getting a fractured APGA to become one political family.

A source in his camp had told this newspaper that the consultations will be far reaching as it is targeted at reconciling all party stakeholders and  to rebuild the party ahead of the 2019 governorship election.

Fears had been raised on the unity of APGA in Imo State after some governorship aspirants fumed over the manner the Party governorship primary was held. This led them to form a New APGA

The Senator at the weekend met with APGA candidates and aspirants for House of Representatives and State House of Assembly where he sued for peace and the need to work for the party  in order to meet the expectations of the people ahead of the 2019 governorship election.

Ararraume is expected to continue the healing process in APGA as feelers from his camp indicate that he is also set to meet most of the aggrieved governorship aspirants who are aggrieved with the party and the process that led to his emergence as the party’s governorship candidate.
