There is  further crack in the newly formed New APGA in Imo State as some of the governorship aspirants are pulling out from the fray.

12 governorship aspirants had pulled out of mainstream APGA in Imo State accusing the party leadership of failing to conduct Primary.

Among those who have paddled their political boat elsewhere include Chief Okey Ezeh who is reported to have picked the guber ticket of the Social Democratic Party, SDP.

Hon Uche Onyeagocha has pledged his support to PDP governorship candidate, Hon Emeka Ihedioha.

Former Imo State Governor, Ikedi Ohakim is alleged to have pitched his tenth with Accord Party.

This newspaper was informed that there are ongoing moves to calm the frayed nerves of aggrieved aspirants by wooing them back to the party.

An APGA Chieftain, Nze Elvis Agukwe in a post on social media claimed that APGA is exploring the option of peace, dialogue and reconciliation.

He said one of the aggrieved aspirants, Dr. Sam Amadi led a team on the peace moves hampering on the need to expand the dialogue in the greater interest of APGA.

Amadi was quoted to have said “We cannot destroy our house out of anger . The mistakes have taken place and there is need to resolve issues and move forward .

Chairman APGA National Reconciliation Committee, Chief Jerry Chukwueke sued for peace and appealed for calm and restraints.

“We need to close ranks and move APGA forward, he charged . Ozonkpu Victor Oye regretted that anger made the aspirants not to explore due process to address their grievances. He charged the aspirants to know that neither himself nor governor obiano compromised the process” he said

Those present at the parley were National Secretary, National Deputy Chairman south , National vice chairman South East and Secretary of the reconciliation committee, Chairman APGA UK , BOT Chairman APGA UK , National legal Adviser among others .
