A new five man credential committee has been inaugurated by the Imo NUJ to begin the process of conducting fresh elections into various offices of the council.
They are Eze Adiuku-Chairman (Frontline Chapel), Chika Anurunwa- Secretary(Federal Information), Treasure Ihechi-Nwamah- Member (State Information Chapel), Chris Nwaokeocha- Member(Correspondents’ Chapel) and Chuks Anyanwu- Member(announcer Chapel)

The new Committee was inaugurated on Tuesday at the Council secretariat, Owerri, after a motion was unanimously moved to dissolve the old credential committee since the secretary of the committee, Vivian Ottih abandoned the committee since July 14, 2018.
Speaking, the Caretaker Chairman,Imo NUJ, Francis Ebonugwo charged the committee to ensure free and fair election and to screen and re screen aspirants while ensuring adherence to the constitutional provisions..
