As part of efforts aimed at strengthening the objectives of Community Policing in Imo State,the Imo State Commissioner of Police CPDasuki D.Galadanchi,has successfully organized a security summit in the three senatorial zones of the State.

The summit which began last Tuesday with Okigwe zone, also took place in Orlu zone in Wednesday and rounded up on Thursday,Oct.25th 2018, at the Imo Trade and Investment Center,New Owerri in Owerri zone.

It also attracted many stakeholders across the 27 LGA’s of the State including the Heads of security outfits,religious leaders,traditional rulers,students of tertiary Institutions,leaders of the Nigeria Union of Journalists and leaders of the Nigeria Bar Association,amongst others.

Speaking to the people of Owerri Senatorial district, CP Galadanchi enjoined them to always give the police every information to track and apprehend the bad eggs in the society.

He said “2019 general elections is fast approaching,we must help the police to achieve tremendous success by working in partnership”,he stated.

Galadanchi also spoke on the negative impacts of social-media.

The Imo State Commissioner of Police charged politicians, aspirants and their supporters to eschew political violence and embrace free,fair and credible electioneering process and accept its outcome in good faith. He appealed to the youths of the state to think positively on their future describing them as leaders of tomorrow with enormous potentials.

He also expressed happiness on the creation of additional Area Commands in the state(one in each of the three senatorial zones of ImoState) under his watch, disclosing that such establishments shall assist in the fight against crime. corruption and insecurity in the 27 LGA’s of the state.

Highlight of the security summit was the interaction of questions and answers session that yielded a very productive fruits for all those who were in attendance.
