The Nigeria Presidency has said with the sudden reappearance of leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, the Buhari administration has been Vindicated.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu who spoke during an interview with the Hausa service of the BBC, said with Kanu’s reappearance, the Nigerian government has been vindicated of assassinating or kidnapping Kanu.
Reacting to the reappearance of the leader of the proscribed IPOB, he said Kanu will definitely continue his trial.
“If it happens to be true, the video footage showing Mr.Nnamdi Kanu, the truth has been revealed about his alleged assassination against Nigeria government”
“This fairy tale went up to the United Nations General Assembly where some IPOB members staged a protest accusing Nigerian government of kidnapping and even killing of Mr.Kanu”
He said with the reappearance of Kanu “people will know who lied between the government and those that made the accusations”
Kanu had made a surprise appearance last week in Jerusalem, Israel where he was spotted to be praying.
He had reportedly made a broadcast on Sunday where he vowed not to show up for his trial by an Abuja High Court.
