The Majority Leader of the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Lugard Osuji has said he remains the APC House of Assembly candidate for Owerri municipal.
Osuji was reacting to claims in the social media that he is among lawmakers in the Imo State House of Assembly whose ticket was taken away by the National Working Committee of the APC under a harmonization arrangement of positions in the party.
In a statement on Monday , Osuji said he “remains the only APC candidate for the 2019 Imo House of Assembly election for Owerri municipal.
He said “he has remained steadfast in the APC since its formation and would not in anyway leave the party for gatecrashers who came into the party through the back door.
The lawmaker maintained that Governor Rochas Okorocha remains the leader of the party in Imo State.
