Imo PDP: Court Strikes Out Senator Anyanwu’s Suit

The drama in Imo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has continued with Senator Samuel Anyanwu’s suit challenging the victory of Hon Emeka Ihedioha as the PDP governorship candidate suffering a set back.

A Federal High Court on Thursday struck out the suit and ordered the Senator to pay to the respondents the sum of N300,000 for unnecessary delay of court process. He was also charged for uncoordinated approach to the court process.

While N100, 000 out of the sum will be paid to the 1st Respondent, PDP, the sum of N200, 000 will be paid to the the winner of the Imo PDP governorship primaries, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha CON, 2nd Respondent.

However other issues such as consideration of the amendment sought by the Senator will he heard on 19th November 2018.
