A High Court in Owerri, Imo State, has nullified the October 6, 2018 repeat governorship primary of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Imo State.
The development further put a cog on the wheel in the determination of Governor Rochas Okorocha son in law, Uche Nwosu to retrieve the APC governorship ticket in Imo State.
Nwosu had anchored on the October 6 primary which he was declared winner as basis for his claims as the governorship candidate of the APC.
The nullification of the primaries by the Court is coming barely 24 hours APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomole vowed to expel party chieftains who dragged the party to court over the outcome of its primaries.
Nwosu had taken the party to a Federal High Court in Abuja where he sought and obtained an order restraining the APC and INEC from substituting his name as the governorship candidate of the APC in Imo State based on the outcome of the October 6 primary which he claimed he won.
In the ruling, the Court granted all the prayers sought by the State Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere who was also a governorship aspirant in the APC in Imo State.
The ruling also seal the governorship ticket of the party held by Senator Hope Uzodinma.
