Imo UPP Guber Running Mate, Obiareri Opens Up

The governorship running mate to the governorship candidate of the United Progressive Party,UPP in Imo State, Nnaemeka Obiareri, has called on the Imo electorate to vote for them on the grounds that they are passionate to serve Imo State.

In a statement on Sunday, Obiareri said he and the UPP governorship candidate, Hon. Tony Nwulu would have loved to fly as independent candidates if the law had permitted them.

He called on Imolites to evaluate them based on “our capacities, competences and sincerity to serve Imo people”

He said “we must chart a new course that departs totally from the past .

“That few men of politics gathered to do their usual politics of endorsement does not and will never in any way and form diminish the capabilities, capacities and competence of Tony and Nnaemeka to transform Imo state into a glorious society where governance excellence , productivity, openness, integrity, accountability and passionate creativity shall be enthroned

“We will love all progressive sons and daughters of the eastern heartland to coalesce together to support the Tony Nwulu /Nnaemeka Obiaraeri ticket.

“If I and Tony had choices or were allowed by law , we will fly as independent candidates . But the law does not permit us . So we are encumbered to fly a party’s ticket . We shall be elected as Executives with powers to effect positive changes in the lives of our people and even the way political parties should rightly operate

“So kindly look at us as individuals.- Young men with burning and passionate desire to build governance legacy that posterity will be proud of. Governance legacies that will dwarf what Peter Gregory Obi did in Anambra state . Please Assess us based on our capacity and sincerity to do this job.
