The Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, will return to Owerri, Imo State today.

This is the first time the Senator will be coming to Owerri after he emerged the governorship candidate of the party.

The Senator is expected to address the press at his campaign office after a road show and strategic flag stops at strategic areas in the State.

He will be accompained by his supporters including top chieftains of the Imo APC coalition including the State Deputy Governor, Eze Madumere, serving and former lawmakers

Meanwhile,Uche Nwosu,a former Chief of Staff and an APC governorship aspirant returned to Owerri yesterday vowing that he will not leave the party.

Nwosu, a son in law to Governor Rochas Okorocha, had lost the governorship ticket to Senator Hope Uzodinma. Addressing the crowd at Freedom Square, Owerri said no one will deprive him of his mandate.

He said “I want to thank you all in Imo APC for voting for me on the 6th of October 2018 party primary election. Nobody can deprive his mandate given to him. I am not bordered.

“The National Chairman of our party,Comrade Adams Oshiomole can not stop me from becoming Imo Governor,because Imolites during the primaries gave their mandate to me. I will be the next Imo Governor in 2019. I am on ground. The grassroots are with me. Owelle Rochas Okorocha is the man to be with. Nobody can stop me from becoming Governor.”
