*Gov’s Son In law Linked To Democratic Alternative?*

*He Remains In Imo APC- Ibe*

Following the publication of Senator Hope Uzodinma’s name as the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Imo State, by INEC, several political options is said to be on the cards of Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha and his son in law, Uche Nwosu.

Nwosu had insisted that he is the governorship candidate of the APC in Imo State anchoring his victory on the outcome of the October 6, 2018 repeat guber primary in the State.

He had also secured a court order stopping INEC from substituting his name with that of any person as candidate of the party.

But Uzodinma’s name later surfaced on INEC list on Friday night as governorship candidate of the APC for Imo State leaving in it’s trail a long drawn political squabble with the Okorocha camp who may be banking on the period of substituting names of candidates as the last option to perfect it’s next move.

Sources told this newspaper that in the event Nwosu fails to have Uzodinma’s name substituted with his, there are indications he may leave for another political party to further his governorship ambition.

It was gathered that the Democratic Alternative, DA, one of the registered 91 political parties in the country may be embraced as another political alternative.

Nwosu’s link to the DA is based on reports that his kinsman and close aides from Nkwerre Local Government Area whose name appeared on INEC list as governorship candidate of the DA may withdraw voluntarily during the period of substitution to pave way for him.

Governor Rochas Okorocha next move is said to be uncertain as APC leaders meet in Abuja this week to review the brewing crisis in the party over the outcome of its primaries. The outcome of the meeting may decide the next political moves of the Governor who will certainly remain in APC .

A top level source told this newspaper on Sunday ” The Governor may remain in the APC but all these speculations depend on the outcome of the APC Leaders meeting in Abuja this week.Whether he will back the Senator or not will be clear this week.

“But I doubt that will be possible considering the level and depth of discord that had trailed the party primaries.

Meanwhile, the Director General Ugwumba movement and a former Commissioner in the State, Chidi Ibe was quoted to have said Uche Nwosu will remain in the APC.
