The All Progressive Congress, APC may be in dilemma over what to do with the leadership of the party in Imo State.
There were indications last week that the leadership of the party may be sacked at all levels by the National Working Committee, NWC.
The camp of Senator Hope Uzodinma is believed to be pushing for the dissolution on the grounds that Governor Rochas Okorocha son in law, Uche Nwosu had decamped to the Action Alliance, AA. Most of the party officials from the ward to the State levels are loyalists of Okorocha and Nwosu.
Governor Okorocha however says he will remain in the APC. He is the party’s Orlu Zone senatorial candidate.
State Chairman of the Party, Daniel Madueke, was reported to have absolved the Governor and the party leadership of any wrong doing for the defection of Uche Nwosu, 19 members of the Imo State House of Assembly to the Action Alliance, AA.
This newspaper was informed that the NWC may have shelved plans of sacking the party Executives on the grounds that it need to await the outcome of reconciliation committees it constituted to look into crisis that plagued the party after the primaries.
A reconciliation Committee led by Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, Senator Goodwill Akpabio had stormed Owerri where they held meetings with Okorocha and APC Governorship candidate,Senator Hope Uzodinma.
National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomole was reported to have said the APC will win Imo State without Governor Okorocha.
