Following the dissolution of executives of the All Progressive Congress from the ward to the State levels , there are indications that Chief Marcellinus Nlemigbo (Macon) may head a new Caretaker committee for the party in the State.

This newspaper had reported that a caretaker committee was underway in Imo APC as the National Working Committee was bent on dissolving the state executives at all levels.

Nlemigbo was former Imo State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP before he joined the All Progressive Congress, APC.

Also likely to make the cut is former Mayor of Owerri, Chief Gibson Njemanze (Oyiga) who may emerge as Vice Chairman of the party in Owerri zone.

The incoming caretaker executives from the ward to the state levels are expected to be made up of loyalists of the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Hope Uzodinma.

Things turned awry for the party executives when Governor Rochas Okorocha son in law and former Chief of Staff, Uche Nwosu decamped to the Action Alliance, AA. He was joined by 17 members of Imo State House of Assembly of APC extraction.

Before the dissolution of the party executives, there was a cold war between Governor Okorocha and Senator Hope Uzodinma over the party structure.

Uzodinma had insisted that he will not work with the Governor.
