Reps Approve N30,000 Minimum Wage

The House of Representatives have passed the bill increasing the national minimum wage. The passage of the bill came after the ad hoc committee considered the bill during plenary.

While considering the bill, the lawmakers agreed to leave the national minimum wage “as recommended by the tripartite committee”

The Committee had approved N30,000 was approved for both Federal and State workers

The House of Reps passed the bill a week after President Muhammadu Buhari sent the bill for consideration after it was approved by the National Council of State, NCS.

The National Council of State,NCS had approved the sum of N27,000 while the federal government said it would increase it to N30,000 for its workers.
