Buhari In Ebonyi, Vows To Sustain Fight Against Corruption

President Muhammadu Buhari campaign train stormed Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital, on Thursday, January 30, where he vowed to sustain the fight against corruption.

The President who spoke to a mammoth crowd at the Pa Oruta Stadium, Abakaliki, also on his administration commitment to sustain the anti graft campaign.

H said “We are fighting a broad war against corruption and this system is a difficult process but we are doing our best by trying to reorganise the Nigeria Police Force and Judicial system.

”So, we will stand against anything that hinders our development as a nation because God has given us people, God has given us resources.

He said ”If you vote me back I will make sure we realise the potentialities of our people and use the resources God has given us to make life better for the people and the future generation.

He said his administration had achieved success in the implementation of the three key cardinal programmes such as the anti-graft war, insecurity and rebuilding of the economy.

The President said that the nation’s economy has been repositioned through agriculture and agro-based businesses and added that the country was no longer importing rice as it used to.

”Today we have achieved food sufficiency and the money we have saved from rice and food importation we used to provide infrastructure.

The Governorship candidate of the APC in the State, Senator Sonni Ogbuoji said Ebonyi State has all it takes to be the best among other States in the Federation but has been haunted by years of misrule and impunity.

He said “Our state has all it takes to be the best but it has been mismanaged due to the fact that it has been in the wrong hands since 2015.

“We are strong, we are powerful, we have resources, we have the sound mind to turn things around and that is why we are so glad you are here to give us that fatherly backing that makes the children take the world on their hands and turn it to a better place.”

Present at the rally include National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, Rotimi Amaeachi, Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, Minister of Labour and Productivity, Chris Ngige, Former Senate President, Ken Nnamani, National officers of the APC, Chief George Moghalu and many others.
