Chelsea has withdrawn from signing AC Milan and Argentina forward, Gonzalo Higuain.

Goal reports that Blues Coach, Maurizio Sarri, has put Gonzalo on his radar as he looks to bolster his attacking options.

The duo had worked together at Napoli for the 2015/2016 campaign where the Argentine striker scoreed 38 goals in 42 matches.

However, the Blues will now not be signing Higuain in January despite recent reports suggesting otherwise.

The reason is the complexities of the deal, with the 31-year-old currently on loan at at Milan from Juventus, making a potential deal difficult to conclude with two other clubs involved.

Chlsea are now looking elsewhere to enhance their front line, with Higuain set to remain at the Italian club for at least the rest of the season.
