The immediate past Special Assistant to the Imo State Governor on ICT and the Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Mr. Ik Ogbonna has been named as Media Assistant to Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma, the Imo APC Governorship candidate. This was contained in a letter signed by Chief Cosmos Iwu Director General Senator Hope Uzodinma Campaign Organization.
Ik Ogbonna is a highly experienced and goal-oriented professional with practical engagement in government, party administration, politics and the private sector having worked as Personal Assistant to the first State Vice Chairman, Imo PDP, Media Coordinator, Goodluck/Sambo Campaign Organisation, Imo State, Special Assistant to the Imo State Governor on ICT, Media Adviser to Senator Ifeanyi Araraume amongst others. He is an author and was a columnist with Announcer Express, Newspoint and Horn Newspapers at various times.
“It is hoped that he will deploy his vast wealth of experience in Media matters to bear on the Senator Hope Uzodinma Campaign Organization” the statement concluded.
