Determined to ensure Owerri zone capture the seat of government in Imo State in 2019, a socio political organisation, Olu Owerri has commenced moves to ensure the zone does not continue to weep over its inability to produce Imo State Governor.

The meeting held behind closed doors in Owerri was attended by eight governorship candidates of Owerri zone extraction.

Among those in attendance include Okey Ezeh (SDP), Emeka Ihedioha (PDP), Humphrey Anumudu (Zenith Labour Party), Tony Nwulu (UPP) and others.

A source at the meeting said the initiative is a continuous exercise aimed at ensuring Owerri zone remain united in the quest to have Imo Governor in 2019.
