Governorship candidates in Imo State have left their comfort zone in search for votes in the hinterlands.
Barely two weeks to the governorship election and a week to the presidential vote, candidates have intensified their campaigns.
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governorship candidate, Emeka Ihedioha had embarked on a statewide tour visiting party chieftains and addressing rallies. This is the said to be the second phase of the campaigns after the PDP guber hopeful had visited ward formations last year.
The United Progressive Party, UPP governorship candidate, Hon Tony Nwulu has also flagged off a colorful campaign. He made a triumphant return to the State last Friday and will hit the LGAs by next week.
The All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA governorship candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Araraume is on the verge of rounding up his campaigns across the 27 local governments where he spoke to party faithful and voters.
The Action Alliance, AA governorship candidate, Uche Nwosu is also not resting on his oars too having toured almost all the local governments in the State.
Accord party governorship candidate and former Governor of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim, has also toured some Local Governments which underscores his determination to stage a come back to Government House, Owerri.
Social Democratic Party, SDP candidate, Okey Ezeh has been on the road visiting key and strategic local governments where he has consistently spoke on his plans for the State.
The All Progressive Congress, APC governorship candidate, Senator Hope Uzodinma had also embarked on campaign tours across the State.
