Hon. (Barr.) Obinna Mbata, the All Progressive Congress, APC Owerri Federal Constituency Candidate remains the candidate of the party ahead of Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly election.
Speaking to Elders and leaders in Owerri, Mbata said he is still the candidate of the party urging all his supporters and voters across the federal Constituency to come out enmasse and cast their votes for him in the elections on Saturday.
He described the Federal High Court ruling as a miscarriage of justice, stating that the status quo remains with him as the APC House of Reps candidate for Owerri Federal constituency pending the determination of the suit before the Appellate Court.
He urged them not to be distracted by the court ruling or allow themselves to be fed with wrong information about the matter insisting that a vote for him in Saturday’s election remains valid.
He expressed confidence that the Appellate Court will further adjudicate on the matter to ensure justice is served devoid of any political motives or machinations.
Mbata noted that he will not allow detractors steal the mandate bestowed on him by the party, stating that he remains unshaken in his resolve and determination to give Owerri Federal Constituency the best form of representation which has been lacking for several years in the area.
He said “inspite of the ruling of the Federal High court, until the matter is heard and exhaustively adjudicated upon on its merit on appeal, the status quo remains”.
“Come out on Saturday and cast your vote for me.Vote for quality and effective representation which I will guarantee for our people”.
