In a rare show of political sportsmanship, the senatorial candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, Mike Nwachukwu has congratulated the winner of the Imo East senatorial election, Hon Ezenwa Onyewuchi of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Onyewuchi had polled 146, 647 to defeat other contestants in the elections held on Saturday.
A statement released by Nwachukwu where he hailed his PDP counterpart reads “My brother the Distinguished Senator – Elect! I called to congratulate you on your victory at the polls but your line rang out.
“Kindly accept my congratulations on your declaration as the winner of the just concluded National Assembly Elections.
