In his remarks, the Zonal secretary charged the new Exco to enhance the already high profile of journalism in the state and ensure that NUJ in Imo state continues to remain one family.

The election which was initially slated for July 14 2018 was stalemated because some chapels failed to pay their check off dues leading to the constitution of a caretaker committee which held sway till date.

Before now two futile attempts were made to conduct the election resulting in disagreements & the false impression that Imo NUJ was in factions.
