The Independent National Electoral Commision, INEC has opened up on what it will do about the controversies surrounding Imo West Senatorial election.
The Commission had withheld Governor Rochas Okorocha’s certificate of return on the grounds that he was declared winner of the polls under duress.

Chief Press Secretary of INEC, Rotimi Oyekanmi was reported by THE GUARDIAN to have said the Commission has not issued its Certificate of Return to any candidate.
About 37 candidates vied for Imo West Senatorial district including Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State.
He said INEC “will take a decision on what to do next. That decision will be made public when it is taken.”
