INEC Presents Certificate Of Return To Imo Governor Elect (UPDATED)

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in Imo State has issued Certificate of Return to Imo State Governor elect, Emeka Ihedioha alongside his deputy, Gerald Irona.

Ihedioha was declared winner of the March 9, 2019 governorship election defeating candidates of over 70 political parties

The Governor elect and his team later addressed party faithful  at the State headquarters of the Peoples Democratic party, PDP, Owerri.

Speaking to PDP members at the State party secretariat, Owerri, the Governor elect said  PDP’s victory at the just concluded elections was victory for the people of the State who believe in democracy and rule of law.

He promised to run open, transparent and inclusive government  in order to aid the task of rebuilding the State.

Ihedioha commended the church, traditional rulers, Imo Elders Council for standing firm in truth and for equity.

Imo State PDP Chairman, Barrister Charles Ezekwem assured that the incoming PDP administration will provide quality governance in order to advance the State positively for peace, comfort and economic prosperity
