Barely few days to the governorship election in Imo State, the African Democratic Party, ADC candidate, Ejike Chukwu has assured that he will end the suffering of the people of the State arising over non payment of salaries and pensions to pensioners.

Chukwu who literally shut down Okigwe Federal Constituency during his campaign tour at the weekend assured that if elected Governor his administration will give priority and attention to full payment of workers salaries

Received by a tumultuous crowd when he arrived, Chukwu in his welcome address  lamented on the continuous decay of infrastructure in the State and stressed on the commitment of an ADC led administration to tackle numerous challenges in the State by creating employment opportunities for thousands of Imo youths.

He noted that he will ensure gender balance in his government by giving women key appointments in the State.

Hundreds of youths and women who graced the event expressed hope of a better future when he Chukwu emerges as Governor of the State.

While expressing happiness with the warm reception accorded him on his arrival he said the excitement on the faces of the good people of Okigwe is a testimony of the fact that the people have seen the desired Governor.
