The Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party, ANRP in Imo State has congratulated the  Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governorship candidate, Hon Emeka Ihedioha on his victory in the March 9, 2019 governorship election.

In a terse statement signed by the ANRP Chairman in Imo State, Mr. Chibuike Oziri Nwachukwu, he said the victory is not just for the PDP but for all Imolites  who craved for liberation and a change at the helm of affairs of the State.

Oziri said the results of the election is a manifestation of the will of the people which prevailed against all odds. He called on Ihedioha to run an all inclusive government where all and sundry will be carried along in giving Imolites a new way of life.

The Chairman noted that much is expected from an Ihedioha led State government, urging the incoming governor to quickly focus on addressing myriad problems plaguing the State by hitting the ground running immediately.

He pointed out that Imo State is now on the path of total and complete rejuvenation, stating that there is a ray of hope in the State with the emergence of Ihedioha as the next Governor of the State.

He said the ANRP is committed to work with the new government, stating that the quest to make Imo State great is a collective task for well meaning sons and daughters of the State.

Oziri noted that Imo State has long craved for a seasoned administrator at the helm of affairs and such yearning has materalized to reality with the coming on board of a seasoned administrator such as the former Deputy Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives.

Ihedioha, the PDP governorship candidate had polled 277, 002 votes to defeat his closest rival, the Action Alliance governorship candidate, Uche Nwosu who polled 195, 364 votes.
