Imo PDP Chieftain, Ajaelu, Others Hold Closed Door Meeting With National Party Leadership


* Drums Support For Ihedioha Again*

Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Chieftain in Imo State and South East co coordinator, National PDP Professionals and Business Group, NPPBG, Chief Chuks Ajaelu was among top PDP chieftains across the country invited for a crucial close door meeting with some national officers of the party in Abuja.


Ajaelu and co stormed the Party’s national headquarters, Wadata Plaza on Thursday where they held fruitful discussions with some of  the party’s national  leaders on the recent electoral success of the party across the country, Imo State inclusive.

In attendance at the meeting include Board of Trustees Chairman of the Party, Senator Walid Jibrin, BOT Secretary, Adolphus Wabara and PDP National Secretary, Senator Umar Ibrahim Tasuri.

The PDP had made an appreciable impact in the country recovering States it lost in the 2015 elections, including Imo State which it grabbed from the grip of the All Progressive Congress, APC.

Details of the meeting were not disclosed as at press time but sources said the parley was part of efforts of the national leadership of the party to involve key stakeholders across the country  to analyze the 2019 elections and design a way forward geared towards reforming the electoral process with an eye on 2023.

Chief Ajaelu’s participation in the meeting signals  his relentless support to the cause of the PDP through the NPPBG which has supported and backed the party to win elections not just in Imo but across the country.

Speaking to this newspaper after the meeting in Abuja, Chief Ajaelu’s once again drummed support for Imo State Governor elect, Hon.Emeka Ihedioha. He described the victory of Ihedioha and the PDP as victory for all, stating that the recent Transition Technical Committee, TTC put up by the Governor Elect is a clear demonstration of his clear vision to make Imo State work again.

He said the NPPBG has continuously shown support to the party across the South East and will not relent in its determination to ensure the PDP deliver all its campaign promises to the people across the five South East States.
