Imo State University, IMSU, Owerri, hasve matriculated over 2000 students into various departments.
The new students who were fully officially admitted into the University by the University authorities were enveloped in joy as they dressed colourfully, enjoying with friends, families and fellow students and lecturers.
In her welcome address, Vice Chancellor of IMSU, Prof Victoria Adaobi Obasi advised the students to focus on their studies, urging them to shun cultism, immorality, exam malpractice, indecent dressing, bad company and also respect their parents and their teachers including the school management.
The students promised to study well and obey rules and regulations guiding the University.
In an interview, Chief Gordian Esimoleze and his wife, Mrs Theodora Esimoleze, of Uruala, Ideato North, parents of Judith Somtochukwu Esimoleze, a new Law student said that they are happy to see their daughter get matriculated, wishing her well and advised teachers to teach them effectively.
Judith Semotochukwu Esimoleze, promised to work hard and excel in her studies.
